Transstroy company, the general contractor of football stadium in St. Petersburg, completed the installation of a temporary decorative lighting. From November until the end of the completion of construction of St. Petersburg residents will be able to oversee the construction of the arena in the light of the main corporate colors of the football team of the city.
Installation of temporary lighting of the stadium being constructed in St. Petersburg was completed. There are thirty LED spotlights on temporary supports over the whole circumference of the arena. Spotlights can synthesize up to 16 million colors, but blue - the brand-color of the main football team of the city was selected as the base one.
Spotlights will operate in a blinking mode: smoothly gain light and fade in transition from white to dark blue. On weekends and public holidays, a light system will be used in a full color mode. Everybody can see backlight from all viewpoints around the stadium: from the Alley of hero-cities on Krestovsky Island, the seaside promenade of Vasilevsky Island, the 300-th anniversary park and from the water area.
Temporary lighting will not interfere with the construction process - if necessary, projector supports will be moved. The project also will not require additional costs: the equipment used for its implementation is provided by the manufacturer free of charge. In case of successful operation the issue on the inclusion of lighting equipment of St. Petersburg manufacturer IntiLED in constant illumination of the stadium project will be considered.
Dynamic lighting is an integral part of the architectural appearance of the stadium on Krestovsky Island laid by the author of the concept - Kisho Kurokawa Architects. The choice of the stadium’s façade color - silver gray - was dictated, in particular, by the extensive use of light effects: neutral color of the facade enables to project light onto the surface of the stadium, focusing on individual elements and emphasizing the manufacturability of the object.
At the moment, more than half of the stationary part of the roof has been assembled at the stadium. A significant portion of engineering systems (heating, water, fire, etc.) is assembled. In the active phase is also installation of front cover, leader finishing facilities and construction of additional premises where operational services of the sports complex will be located. Completion of the sports arena on Krestovsky is scheduled for May 2016.
