The stadium is located in a picturesque place – on one the most green and bif of of St. Petersburg islands. The history of Krestovsky Island as the main venue for active pastime of citizens accounts for over 100 years. For over 50 years one of the most famous and largest stadiums in Russia – Kirov stadium was situated here.
The distance from the stadium to the historical centre of the city is approximately 8 km. A new sports facility won’t change a well-established panorama in the historical development area.
In the close proximity – Primorskiy Victory Park and over a dozen of other sports facilities (cycle track, basketball centre, rowing club, combat sports centre, tennis courts etc.).
By the 2018 World Football Championship construction of a new metro station Novokrestovkaya, new pedestrian bridge and a yacht club with a jetty for public water transport is planned near the arena.
