Transstroy company, the general contractor of the stadium on Krestovsky Island in Saint-Petersburg, approved a project to ensure the security of the object. It includes both already widely used technologies and the latest developments, which should make the stadium one of the safest buildings in the world.
In order to prevent terrorist threats and public order at the stadium being constructed in St. Petersburg, the project team of Transstroy has developed a set of measures: an electronic system that allows you to search for people in the stream, to identify their personality, to carry out non-contact car searching, compare cars, its owners and the drivers. The state-of-the-art process solutions will be supported by traditional solutions: approved scenarios of actions for security personnel and fans traffic schemes.
For the first time in Russia the search system for person by the set parameters in the stream of people will be used on the football arena. Fifty cameras can track the movement and to identify any of tens of thousands of visitors. The security system will identify the stadium fans not only in the stream, but also by fragments of faces. Unlike traditional systems, the identification will occur regardless of the position of the face and its openness. For example, when a visitor goes to the stadium with a partially covered face (in the hood, cap, glasses) during the whole period of stay at the stadium system continues to track and record appearing in the field of view of cameras areas until identification will be finished.
In addition to the biometric data, the security system of the stadium will receive and process information about transport in relation to the drivers and state registration number. It will allow to capture, in what transport a visitor came and in the case of any change, for example, if the driver leaves the stadium by foot or by car with another state number, inform about it. Each vehicle entering the territory will be searched by means of special cameras.
In addition, the safety at the facility will be provided by the security staff of the stadium and the police, with the assistance of which according to approved scenarios persons who pose a threat to public safety will be identified. To prevent conflicts between the active fans of home and away teams, the routes of their journey and the location on the stadium will be strictly separated.
At the moment, more than half of the stationary part of the roof has been assembled at the stadium. A significant portion of engineering systems (heating, water, fire, etc.) was assembled. In the active phase is also installation of front cover, leader finishing facilities and construction of additional premises where operational services of the sports complex will be located. Completion of the sports arena on Krestovsky is scheduled for May 2016.
